About Dr. Ramirez

Joel Ramirez, MD,  is one of the skilled doctors on the team at Living Water Community Health and Wellness Clinic, with locations in Porterville, Lindsay, and Visalia, California. Dr. Ramirez is a California native raised in Lindsay, where he played year-round sports. 

Dr. Ramirez completed a bachelor's degree in Physiological Sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He was then accepted to the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he received his Medical Doctorate (MD) degree. Dr. Ramirez first completed Residency training in Family Medicine, followed by Fellowship training in Sports Medicine, and a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) from the USC Marshall School of Business — all in Los Angeles.

With a plan to return to the Central Valley, Dr. Ramirez now lives and works locally. His special interests are treating athletes with athletic-related conditions, incorporating special procedures such as minor surgeries and joint and soft-tissue injections, and practicing Family Medicine. He is married with two small children, and in his spare time, he enjoys running and spending time with his kids.

We also accept non-insured cash-pay patients. New patient rate is $125 for the initial consult and $100 for each consult after the first. Charges will vary depending on the type of diagnosis and amount of time spent with the physician.
